Working with Teenagers

The teenage years bring unique emotional, academic, and social challenges. Teen therapy provides a safe space for adolescents to explore their emotions, build confidence, and navigate friendships. In therapy, teens can talk about things such as friendship conflicts, anxiety, stress, self-worth, body image, family struggles, or school stress. My main goal as a therapist for teenagers is to create a trusting relationship where teens feel safe to be honest in a judgement free environment. Together, we slow things down, make space for feelings that might be hard to express elsewhere, and begin to understand what’s beneath the surface. Common concerns I help with include:
